Rolex Day-Date 228236

Introduced in 2022, the Rolex Day-Date 40 ref. 228236 is an evolution of the famous Day-Date, a model launched by Rolex in 1956. This version is distinguished by its 40 mm Oyster case made entirely of 950 platinum. It is equipped with a platinum fluted bezel, a particularly distinctive feature of this generation. Its glacier blue dial constitutes an exclusive signature of Rolex models in platinum. At 12 o'clock, the traditional window displays the day of the week in full, while the date appears at 3 o'clock under the Cyclops lens.

The watch is powered by the automatic Rolex calibre 3255, with a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. This movement notably incorporates a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. The 228236 is mounted on the famous President bracelet with three rounded links, also made of platinum and equipped with an invisible Crownclasp. Its Oyster case, Twinlock screw-down crown, and sapphire crystal provide water resistance up to 100 metres. The watch also benefits from the Superlative Chronometer certification, with a precision announced by Rolex of −2/+2 seconds per day once the watch is cased.
