Cartier Santos WSSA0048

The Cartier Santos reference WSSA0048 takes up the aesthetic codes of the Santos, a model created in 1904 by Louis Cartier for the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, considered one of the first modern wristwatches. 

This Grand Model version stands out with its 39.8 mm steel case paired with a blue PVD-coated steel bezel, a configuration that brings a contemporary touch to this watchmaking icon. 

Its striped blue dial is adorned with Roman numerals, sword-shaped hands with luminescent material, and a date window at 6 o'clock, offering excellent readability. 

The watch is powered by the manufacture calibre 1847 MC, a mechanical automatic movement developed by Cartier, offering a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. 

The case is protected by a sapphire crystal and guarantees water resistance of 100 metres, suitable for daily use. 

It comes with a steel bracelet equipped with the SmartLink system allowing for quick adjustment of the links, as well as a second blue rubber strap. Both straps benefit from the QuickSwitch system, which allows for tool-free interchangeability.
